An expatriate was mugged in reclaimed suburb Hulhumale' late Sunday.
Police disclosed that the perpetrators stole the victim's mobile phone and wallet after the assault.
Stating that they received report of the mugging on Sunday night, Police added that the victim was rushed to Hulhumale' Hospital for treatment.
No further information has been disclosed so far.
However, per local reports and a photograph circulating on social media allegedly depicting the victim, the perpetrators had severely wounded the expatriate's leg.
Police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the crime. They assured that the investigation was underway.
