Former President Mohamed Nasheed, who also earlier served as Speaker of Parliament, has been announced as the recipient of the 2024 Global Citizen Award yesterday.
The award was granted for his work as an advocate for climate action and as a human rights activist on a global scale by the residence and citizenship advisory firm Henley & Partners at the 18th Global Citizenship Conference held in Singapore.
