Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) CEO and MD Abdulla Ziyad has been transferred to the post of State Minister at the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy. He has been replaced by former Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Saudhi.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) CEO and MD Abdulla Ziyad has been transferred to the post of State Minister at the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy. He has been replaced by former Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Saudhi.
The newly appointed MD and CEO of MTCC, Saudhi, most recently served in the Male' City Council. He headed the Community Engagement Unit established when current President Dr Mohamed Muizzu served as Mayor of Male' City.
Saudhi served as Deputy Commissioner of Police during former President Abdulla Yameen's administration, and was tasked with heading MPS in 2018. He later worked as a Deputy Minister at the Youth Ministry as well.
Ziyad had been appointed as MTCC CEO and MD on November 28, 2023. He has past experience working in the Environment Ministry.
