United Kingdom's flagship carrier, British Airways announce it will increase weekly flights to Maldives next month.
According to the airline, the carrier is set to increase flight landings to four on a weekly basis effective from October 14, 2022. On October 30, the airline will launch daily flight operations to the island nation.
The airline will be operating a total of four classes of their Boeing 777 line.
British Airways first launched operations to Maldives in 2015, and continued to ramp up their movement until the global aviation pause in 2020. The airline, much like its contemporaries, grounded its international operations fleet amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Flight operations of the airline relaunched to the Maldives earlier in 2021.
UK remains among one of the strongest source markets to the island nation. Currently ranked third, the market has contributed with more than 119,000 tourist arrivals to the Maldives so far.
