Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has conducted a special fire safety drill targeting the company's employees.
The drill was conducted on Friday afternoon from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the commercial harbor in Male' City. The drill aimed at raising awareness among MPL employees in critical scenarios related to fire or incendiary.
MPL understands the importance of maintaining highest safety standards at the commercial harbor, being close in vicinity to general public.
The corporation further stressed similar drills will be carried out enhancing MPL staff to become prepared in case of emergency.
MPL further asserted importance of similar safety drills in commercial harbors that cater to international shipping operations.
