Maldives Police Service, on Tuesday, confirmed that two separate accidents occurred on Sinamale bridge at approximately the same time.
According to the police, an ambulance crashed into the back of a pick-up on the highway to Hulhumale from Male', at approximately 2030 hrs.
While both vehicles were significantly damaged as a result of the accident, no individuals were injured.
The second accident reportedly occurred 200 feet away when a collision occurred between three cars and one pick-up travelling in the same direction. Despite considerable damage to the four vehicles, no individuals sustained injuries.
A police spokesperson disclosed that all drivers involved in the two aforementioned accidents possessed the required licenses to operate their vehicles.
Police noted that an investigation into the the accidents was underway.
