ITLOS has no jurisdiction on Maldives-Mauritius boundary dispute: AG

Maldives asserted that the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) did not possess the jurisdiction to investigate the dispute concerning the delimitation of the maritime boundary between Mauritius and Maldives.

Maldives asserted that the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) did not possess the jurisdiction to investigate the dispute concerning the delimitation of the maritime boundary between Mauritius and Maldives.

Attorney General Ibrahim Riffath and Deputy Attorney General Khadheeja Shabeena made the assertions while delivering closing statements at the second round of oral pleadings for preliminary objections regarding the dispute during the previous week.
