Electricity shortage in Fuvahmulah: Gadhdhoo protests against taking away unused generator

An unused generator in Gaaf Dhaalu Gadhdhoo that Fenaka Corporation Limited began efforts to transfer to Gnaviyani Fuvahmulah due to the electricity issues in the island has prompted protests amongst Gadhdhoo residents who are protesting against taking it away.

Since the beginning of last month, due to the damage of an 800-kilowatt generator in Fuvahmulah, power cuts are scheduled during the intervals when the electricity load is high. Fenaka has been working to resolve this issue by transfering the unused generator set in Gadhdhoo to Fuvahmulah since then.
