BML to be closed for five days from December 31

As per the central bank Maldives Monetary Authority's policy, Bank of Maldives (BML) will be closed for five days from December 31.

Questions were posed to BML for alleged non-compliance to an investigation in relation to the probe into the infamous Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) graft scandal. BML denied claims of negligence and maintained that everything they did was in line with the regulations.

As per the central bank Maldives Monetary Authority's policy, Bank of Maldives (BML) will be closed for five days from December 31.

As each year banks are closed for five days over the new year period, this time the last day of service at the bank will be Monday, December 30, as the weekend intervenes.
