Maldives Islamic Bank now offers ATM services in Alif Dhaalu Atoll Mahibadhoo and Dhaalu Atoll Kuda Huvadhoo.
With the introduction of these ATMs, cash deposits and withdrawals can now be conducted throughout the 24 hours in a day.
From these ATMs, customers will be able to make deposits of up to MVR 200,000 in one transaction. Businesses, meanwhile, can deposit larger amounts through using their Business Cards issued by the bank.
MIB stated that these are modern, state of the art ATMs and that money can be deposited via these ATMs even without the use of a card. Cardless deposits can be made through using customers' phone numbers.
Once the phone number is entered for deposits, customers will receive an OTP. Once the OTP is entered and identification verified, customers can enter the account number they wish to deposit funds to and proceed with the transaction.
MIB highlighted that the introduction of the ATM services would enhance the customer experience for MIB users in both islands.
