An expatriate working at the Sun Siyam Group's resort development project underway at Dhigurah, Noonu Atoll, died under the belt of a brick making machine on Wednesday.
Maldives Police Service revealed that the expatriate was a male aged 25 but did not reveal further details including name and nationality.
A spokesperson for Police revealed that the man had passed away by the time he was taken to the Regional Hospital at Manadhoo, Noonu Atoll, at approximately 1820hrs on Wednesday.
According to Police, he sustained serious injuries due to the incident.
Authorities are currently investigating the matter.
