Graduates this year completed 53 programs, with females making up 71 percent of the graduates while males accounted for 29 percent.
A total of 1,237 students graduated from various programs at Villa College this year, with two graduation ceremonies held yesterday to award certificates to the graduates.
In the morning session, students from the Faculty of Educational Studies, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Sharia and Law, Qasim Ibrahim School of Business, and School of Computer Studies received their certificates.
The afternoon session saw graduates from the Center for Postgraduate Studies, School of Psychology, and several other faculties, including Educational Studies, Sharia and Law, Health Sciences, and Business.
Villa College announced that graduates completed 53 programs this year. Fifteen of these programs were delivered in collaboration with the University of the West of England, while 38 were conducted directly by Villa College.
While female students made up 71 percent of this year's graduates, male students accounted for 29 percent.
Villa College Vice Rector Dr Ali Najeeb, who attended the ceremonies, encouraged students to continue their academic journeys. He highlighted that Villa College fosters a culture of continuous learning and highlighted a 10 percent increase in the number of graduates compared to last year.
Dr Ahmed Anwar, Rector of Villa College, emphasized that the institution’s programs are designed to equip students with essential graduate attributes. These include the ability to acquire knowledge, a spirit of continuous improvement, and technical skills that will positively impact their lives.
Steven West, Vice Chancellor of the University of the West of England, also attended the ceremony. He praised Villa College as one of the best educational institutions in the Maldives.
