A Brazilian man who attempted to smuggle in drugs through having swallowed them has been arrested, along with a Maldivian man who went to receive the items.

Arrested in this case is a 44 year old Brazilian man, and a 39 year old Maldivian man.
As per the Criminal Court's remand order against the Brazilian, 107 bullets of drugs were found in his body.
The order further cited Police as saying that the drugs found weighed over 1 kg on initial testing.
Police then arrested the Maldivian man who went to Velana International Airport to receive the drugs.
As both requested lawyers, Criminal Court has placed them in remand in custody for a period of five days.
Both are being charged with smuggling, using, and sale of drugs.
