A Police Media Official stated that two persons had forced their way into the room in which the 62 year old man was residing and had threatened him at knifepoint, forcing him to hand over money and his phone.
Although no persons have been arrested yet in relation to this case, police are continuing investigations, the official said.
Police last night arrested another individual for stealing over MVR 26,000 from an apartment in Male'. Police said that this individual, identified as 32 year old Abdulla Thilmeez, has been arrested and the stolen money recovered.
