The government has stated today that a total of 51 Indian military personnel from two areas in the Maldives have been repatriated so far.

During a press conference held at the President's Office today, Chief Spokesperson Heena Waleed, responding to a question from a journalist, said that a total of 51 Indian military personnel from two locations have been repatriated so far. The remaining Indian officers will leave by Friday, May 10, she said.

"All Indian military personnel in the country will be withdrawn from the Maldives by May 10. As of now, 51 soldiers stationed at two platforms have been repatriated," Heena said.

The first batch of Indian military personnel were withdrawn from Maldives during early March followed by the departure of the second batch in April.

Heena stated that the number of foreign troops in the Maldives would be disclosed once all foreign military personnel leave the country.
