Maldives Trade Delegation to visit USA in July, UK in May

Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed has announced today that a Maldives' trade delegation will travel to the United States of America in July this year.

Speaking at the meeting with resident of Shaviyani atoll Milandhoo today, Minister Saeed assured that this administration is undertaking numerous efforts under the guidance of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu for the recovery of the economy which was on the brink of bankruptcy when this administration came into office.

He claimed that the positive results of these efforts are already being seen.

"If my information is correct, on July 10, for the first time ever, a Maldives trade delegation will be travelling to Washington, USA. USA has facilitated this for the President," Saeed shared.

Along with this, a Maldives trade delegation will also be travelling to London, UK. This visit is scheduled for May 15.

According to Saeed, during these trips, Maldives will emphasize seeking financial solutions from the most financially progressed systems.

He further noted that President Dr Muizzu, even in these initial days of his presidency, has already travelled to countries with some of the strongest economies , and through this facilitated many opportunities for the Maldives.
