Oala Media Pvt Ltd has upgraded and is preparing to relaunch its story app "Oala," which was initially created to foster a love for the Dhivehi language and reading among children.

A special event named "Oala Yoala Ehvelumeh" is scheduled for Friday, September 1, to mark the relaunch of the app. The event is set to take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the stage area of Sultan Park in Malé City.

The event, aimed at children, promises an engaging experience with activities such as interactive singing sessions with the Oala team, face painting, and educational activities. The lineup includes captivating activities including 'Science Kameh,' 'Kulhey Kulhey Kanmathi,' and 'Artfart' with Creative Juice. Attendees, both children, and parents, will also be treated to refreshments courtesy of 'Akko Official'.

The lucky winner of the draw among those who register for the Oala app will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tablet A8 from Ooredoo.

The revamped 'Oala' app will feature major modifications to its user interface, according to Oala Media. These changes include improved accessibility to read stories via the app, as well as listening to songs and viewing videos on both iOS and Android devices such as smartphones and tablets. The relaunch will also showcase a video produced by Arc Maldives, with similar content intended for future release on the app. Additionally, the app will offer videos, podcasts, and booklets designed to enhance parental awareness.

New features of the app include registration using an overseas phone number and a separate login for parents to enter a PIN. In addition to the free version of the Oala app, a premium version will also be released tomorrow.

Subscribers of the premium "Kiyamaa" version will enjoy access to a minimum of three new content pieces each month.

The free version's content remains available with enhanced features, preserving its existing offerings. Specifically categorized to cater to children under the age of nine, the Oala app continues to serve as a valuable resource for young learners.
