Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) have signed an agreement to strengthen destination marketing strategies and increase cooperation.
MMPRC CEO and MD Ibrahim Shiuree emphasized the significance of the agreement, noting that MATI's knowledge and experience in the industry will be valuable assets in enhancing MMPRC's work.
MATI Secretary General Ahmed Nazeer stated that MATI has always maintained a close working relationship with MMPRC and hopes this relationship will be further strengthened with the signing of the MoU. Nazeer highlighted that MATI's cooperation will enable MMPRC to expand its destination marketing efforts, which will be crucial in strengthening the Maldives' brand as a destination and achieving performance targets.
Under the agreement, MATI will play a key role in assisting MMPRC in conceptualizing and formulating destination marketing strategies and campaign tactics. Additionally, MATI will serve in an advisory capacity. The agreement also includes sharing tourism related statistics to adopt a data-driven approach in developing marketing initiatives.
