Soccer Veterans has organized the Milo Academy Championship for a third year and began the tournament for children under 10 years yesterday. This tournament that has over 30 teams from various atolls partaking in the games will conclude today.
The Milo Academy Championship organized by the Soccer Veterans Association of Maldives was begun on Friday with over 30 teams.
Held until today, the tournament is organized for players under 10 years of age and is proceeding at the National Stadium in Male City.
A total of 31 teams from 23 academies across Male' City, Hulhumale City, Vilimale and four more atolls are taking part in this tournament.
Soccer Veterans Association stated that the play of over 500 young soccer players will be displayed in this tournament.
This year marks the third year since the Soccer Veterans have been hosting these championships tailored for academies. The Association holds at least three tournaments for the Junior age group - under 12 years, under 14 years and under 10 years - each year.
Soccer Veterans is the independent soccer body that organizes the most activities for the junior soccer players of Maldives.
