The entourage of US media outlets visiting the island nation on a "High-end Adventures in the Maldives" themed familiarization trip concludes their trip.

The team which consisted of media professionals from prolific US media agencies arrived in Maldives earlier on July 13, and stayed until Wednesday, July 20.

The familiarization trip, with world-class publications targeting highly affluent audiences in the USA market, generated huge coverage showcasing high-end accommodation and experiences.

During the media entourage's stay in Maldives, they were shown the geographical uniqueness of the country granting privacy and security, and the highly popular one-island one-resort concept.

The team gained on-hand tourism and hospitality experiences at Joali Maldives, Anantara Kihavah Resort and LUX* South Ari Atoll Resort.

The familiarization trip remains among key marketing strategies by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), inviting the media party to the country, to maintain destination visibility and the Maldivian tourism brand awareness in strategically important tourism markets such as the United States.

The US source market remains as the sixth strongest single-country market to the Maldives with 39,016 annual arrivals as of June 29, 2022.
