A new species of fish has once again been discovered in the Maldives.
The fish was discovered at about depths of 100 to 125 meters, where the sunlight filtering into the sea fades.
It was named 'raki buraki' in Dhivehi, the local language. The word 'raki' meaning 'shy' in Dhivehi, with the fish being given this name because it tends to hide away even at the sight of divers.
