BML commences cleaning program to prepare for Ramadan

BML employees have cleared out four tons of garbage from Male' City for the purpose of preparing the city for the month of Ramadan. The company had previously commenced similar cleaning programs in various other islands as well.

Bank of Maldives (BML) employees have initiated a cleaning activity in preparation for Ramadan.

Staff of the company have cleared five areas both on land and beach in Male’ City under this program in addition to repainting the outer walls of a Mosque in the city.

While they had gathered four tons of garbage from these areas, BML stated that five jumbo bags of plastic garbage collected has been delivered to undergo recycling.

This activity was commenced in collaboration with Male’ City Council, and Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA), alongside Dive Desk.

This cleaning activity launched in Male’ saw the participation of over 200 company employees.

BML had further proceeded a cleaning program in Addu City as well. This activity witnessed the participation of many employees stationed in the Addu City BML branch.

BML also held cleaning programs in Raa atoll Meedhoo, Faafu atoll Nilandhoo, as well as Meemu atoll Muli for the purpose of clearing the island of discarded waste.
