Health Ministry statistics show that gynecological surgeries were the most common major surgeries performed in the Maldives over the past two to three years.
According to surgery numbers released by the ministry yesterday, a total of 40,325 operations were performed in 2022 and 2023. This includes 19,732 surgeries in 2022 and 20,593 surgeries in 2023.
