Major drug operation launched as new year approaches

Predicting a spike in drug related offences including sale and use during the new year period, Police have launched a major drug operation.

In a post on social media today, Police said that drug and alcohol use and sale is expected to see a rise in the coming days. Hence, the Drug Enforcement Department (DED), together with the Hulhumale' Police, Marine Police, and police stations across Kaafu atoll have launched a major joint operation.
