Scholarships are available for one PhD, two Master's degrees, and seven Bachelor's degree opportunities.
The Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has announced scholarships for higher studies in 17 areas, including degree and PhD programs, in other countries.
The scholarships are offered under the Transforming Fisheries Management in the South West Indian Ocean Region and Maldives Project, a joint venture between the government and the World Bank.
These include one PhD, two Master's degrees, and seven Bachelor's degree opportunities.
PhD opportunity is available only in the agriculture sector. Two opportunities are available for master's degrees in the following fields:
- Sustainable Studies
- Sustainable Development Management
- Plant Protection
- Entomology
- Plant Pathology
- Surveying and Mapping Science
- Agricultural Science
- Veterinary
- Zoology
- Animal Science
- Horticultural Science
- Major in Plant Health
- Agriculture (Botany and Entomology)
- Agricultural Economics
- Natural Resource Management
- Bachelor of Economics
The deadline for scholarship applications is September 1. The Ministry stated that applications lacking any required documents will be rejected.
