Lhaviyani Atoll Naifaru secured a 1-0 victory over Kaafu atoll Maafushi in their first match of the Gold Cup.
Despite Maafushi entering the tournament with top-division experience, Naifaru managed to take the win.

The next match of the tournament is between Fuvahmulah City and Haa Alifu Dhidhdhoo of Group A on Monday at 15:50 hrs.
