American company appointed as debt advisors to government

Centerview Partners, an American independent investment banking and advisory firm, has been appointed to provide advice to the government of Maldives in overcoming the current financial woes and dealing with the debt situation.

Although this has been reported in Reuters, the Ministry of Finance has not confirmed it as of yet.
