The Ooredoo Fun Run which was held this year with the participation of Nigerian football icon, Jay-Jay Okocha and several country leaders has been received with high praise and applaud.
Local telecom & digital service provider, Ooredoo had declared that the Fun Run hosted in Laamu atoll last Friday by the company was received with high applaud.
This run saw professional Nigerian footballer and former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star, Augustine Azuka, commonly known as Jay-Jay Okocha also take part in the event by the invitation of Ooredoo. Several country leaders, including Speaker of the parliament, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu, and Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar and Minister of Tourism, Ibrahim Faisal had taken part in the event as well.
Ooredoo stated that the run, held in an inviting and entertaining environment had observed around 2000 participants. The event had also featured several thrilling activities at the end of each kilometer to keep the participants engaged and preserve a fun environment, such as obstacles and spraying colored water.
The untimed run had observed runners taking their time and enjoying the journey with friends and family, laughing and cheering each other on as they complete each challenge.
The Ooredoo Fun Run has always been highly endorsed and praised by the public. The company hosts the event each year to not only promote fitness and health but also to celebrate the nation's vibrant culture and foster a sense of unity.
