BML, American Express launches 'Experience Maldives' campaign

Bank of Maldives (BML) in partnership with American Express, launched the global destination campaign 'Experience Maldives', on November 28.

Endorsed by the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) and the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Company (MMPRC), 'Experience Maldives' was launched by the Minister of National Planning and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam, at a ceremony held at Kurumba Maldives.

As part of the campaign, American Express members may opt for special privileges and discount offers at a variety of resorts, guesthouses and merchants across the archipelago.

"We are delighted to partner with American Express for the second time to promote Maldives to Cardmembers across the globe", said BML CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer.

Recognizing strong support from endorsers MATI, MMPRC and other stakeholders, Sawyer noted 'Experience Maldives' as a successful campaign "which contributed to growing numbers in tourist arrivals to the Maldives".

Vice President and Head of Business at Global Network Services of American Express South Asia, Divya Jain, stated that "Maldives has always been one of the most popular destinations for tourists from across the world" and that through the campaign, American Express will "continue to work towards providing newer and holistic experiences to our customers".

BML's nationwide network comprises of 37 branches across 20 atolls, 49 Self Service Banking Centres, 113 ATMs, 5,700 Point of Sale merchants and 277 agents and a suite of Digital Banking services.
