A Bangladeshi male, on Thursday, was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a four-year-old girl.
According to Maldives Police Service, the 38-year-old was detained from an island in a southern atoll. He was employed to work at the child’s home.
The court ordered for the man to be kept in police custody until the end of his trial.
Police stated the matter was being investigated seriously.
