The Judicial Administration has launched an online portal for the submission of marriage-related forms.

Developed in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the British High Commission, the 'Kaiveni Portal' was launched by Chief Justice Muthasim Adnan during a ceremony held today.

The Judicial Administration said that the primary objective of the portal is to streamline marriage-related procedures for the public by incorporating modern technology.

In its initial stage, the portal will exclusively process marriage-related forms submitted in magisterial courts. The Judicial Administration has outlined plans to expand its functionality to include family court forms in the near future, according to DJA.

Chief Judicial Administrator, Aishath Rizna highlighted during the portal launch that 60 percent of applications filed in courts pertain to marriage forms. The introduction of the 'Kaiveni Portal' aims to enhance the efficiency of court services, streamlining the process for both the courts and the recipients of these services.

The event was graced by Attorney General Ibrahim Riffath and Judicial Service Commission (JSC) member Hisaan Hussain and Thulhaadhoo constituency member of parliament.
