VAM is working with an Indian company to create a strong volleyball league that will cover the entire country.

Mohamed Latheef, who has assumed the presidency of the association for the second time, disclosed that he has initiated the process in partnership with India's Baseline Ventures.

Baseline Ventures developed the Prime League, India's largest volleyball league, as well as the Tamil Nadu Volleyball League, one of India's state leagues.

"The Indian Volleyball League stands as one of the strongest domestic leagues in Asia," stated Latheef, who also serves as the President of the Central Zone Volleyball Association.

"The league's concept was developed, designed, and executed by Baseline. Together with the company, we have now formed a working group to create a fan-based league in the country."

He added that the company will also seek consultations with the country's volleyball community and other stakeholders in the process.

"We will consult with the stakeholders of the country's volleyball community and incorporate their ideas to ensure that the league is conducted in the best interests of the country," Latheef said.

He emphasized that the volleyball league will involve the entire country.

"The idea is to establish a fan-based league. Only then can we sustain the league. The work will be completed in July. After that, we will brand the league and announce it," Latheef said.

He also mentioned ongoing discussions with VAM and the Tamil Nadu Volley Association regarding potential collaboration. However, Latheef clarified that they were not signing an agreement.

"The discussion revolves around the implementation of exchange programs. We will invite their seniors to come here," Latheef said.
