High Commission of Maldives in Sri Lanka urges Maldivians in Sri Lanka to exercise caution in areas where the locals are protesting against the government over the current economic crisis in the nation.

The country is facing shortages in basic necessities as well as a hike in fuel prices due to the economic crisis it is currently at. It has sparked a series of protests all over the country, some leading to violence and injury.
