Following the attack on a foreigner with a sharp object last night, police have arrested the suspected assailant, also a foreigner, at the scene.
A foreigner has been attacked with a sharp object on a Male' street last night.
Police confirmed that they received reports of the attack at 19:26 hrs on Thursday night. The incident occurred at Muthee Goalhi.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment.
Police have revealed that another foreigner has been placed under arrest in relation to this incident.
Videos of the attack circulating on social media show that the victim received serious injuries to his head. The footage also shows the arrest of the suspected attacker.
