Island Aviation Services, the parent company of the country's national airline Maldivian, has signed with Global Aviation Services (GASI), in a bid to increase the airline's Indian routes.
GASI will act as the general sales agent to Maldivian Airline seeking potential new South Indian destinations. The airline anticipates this partnership will boost and strengthen its international operations.
GASI, formed in 1975, is a one-stop aviation service provider. The company currently boasts 41 office branches in 16 Indian locations. The aviation service provider represents several global airlines, which includes 14 of Indian based carriers.
Moreover, GASI is the first general sales agent to be certified by International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Maldivian Airline is currently operating to Cochin and Trivandrum of India, and with the new partnership the carrier aims to expand its Indian routes.
