Shadhiya's arrest wrongful: High Court

While Shadhiya's three day remand order was quashed, and she has also appealed against her five day remand order, which is currently pending in High Court.

High Court today ruled that Aishath Shadhiya, who was arrested for protesting against Israel near embassies in Maldives, was wrongfully detained for three days.

Shadhiya and Dr Shazra Ibrahim were arrested twice last month for participating in these protests but are currently on conditional release following Criminal Court extending their remand on two occasions.
