State Trading Organization (STO) has opened a new Makita Showroom.
Unveiled on Monday evening, the opening event was officiated by the company's Chief Executive and Managing Director Mr. Hussain Amru and Makita Singapore's Mr. Ikeda San.
The new showroom opened at the ground floor of Sea Tracs Building in Maafannu will specialize in the sales and after sales service of authentic Makita hardware and other products.
Founded by Mosaburo Makita in 1915, initially titled Makita Electric Works began selling and repairing lighting equipment, motors and transformers. The company ventured into the manufacturing of power tools during the late 1950s.
Makita brand's power tools and hardware equipment have been popular choices in the Maldivian market for well over 25 years, and are among the very first notable brand of power tools imported into the country.
Some of the more popular Makita choices imported to Maldives include the brand's wood-cutters line, drillers, gardening tools and power tools utilized in construction.
