They advised caution as adverse weather conditions are expected across many atolls.
MET Office said that occasional heavy rain showers are expected in central and southern Maldives.
Northern and central atolls will have west/northwesterly winds, with southwest/westerly winds in southern atolls at 8 to 18 miles per hour. The office said wind gusts may be at 40 miles per hour during rain showers.
Although the sea is expected to stay moderately calm, it is expected to be rough during showers, with wave heights reaching 3 to 6 feet.
