Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has decided to raise the overseas transaction limit for its cards linked with MVR accounts, specifically for customers who choose to deposit their salaries into the bank's account.

Previously restricted to USD 100 per month, the bank has now elevated the overseas transaction limit to USD 250 for customers who deposit their salaries into MIB accounts.

As part of the 'MIB9' club membership, customers depositing their salaries with MIB receive various benefits starting from their first month. These advantages include a reduction in the profit rate of MIB's financing facility, 'Ujaalaa Dhiriulhun,' from 15 percent to 13 percent, as well as a decrease in financing fees from 1 percent to 0.5 percent. Members also enjoy privileges such as exemption from the card registration fee for the Visa Everyday card.

In response to the increased dollar limit for 'MIB9' club members, the bank organized outreach activities across offices where salaries were deposited in its accounts. Information about the 'MIB9' membership club was shared with customers, and the event, held in all islands comprising MIB branches and sales centers, received positive feedback.

MIB has introduced various promotions for 'MIB9' club members including a motorcycle giveaway that commenced on February 1. The promotion, set to run until the end of June, will present a Honda Air Blade 160 motorcycle to the lucky draw winner at the end of the promotion.
