The project was handed over in November 2022 and is set to be finished within three years.
The foundation stone to develop 'Aséria Homes & Townhouses' - a premium villa project in Hulhumalé Phase 2 - was laid out today in a special ceremony held this evening.
The foundation stone for the project was laid out by Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef.
Construction of the villas, which are being developed in over 19,000 square metres of Hulhumalé Phase 2, were handed over to Batch Construction Private Limited by Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
President's Office said that three types of premium units would be developed under this project, which includes 37 beach villas, 14 garden villas and 22 urban villas.
All 73 units are to be completed within three years, said President's Office.
Some of the amenities to be available in the villas include semi guarded security, private neighbourhood, resident gardens, guardroom, police post, club house, lap pool and pool house, wellness centre, recreation centre, multi purpose event hall and a commercial complex.
The project was awarded to Batch Construction by HDC on 13th November 2022.
According to HDC, this project, along with introducing the concept of luxury living, would also create 100 new jobs. While HDC has not yet revealed the value of this project, the state owned enterprise says that it would bring economic and social benefits to both Hulhumalé and Maldives as a whole.
