Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has revealed that a total of MVR 108 million is to be returned to the state according to the cases sent for investigation for the first six months of 2018.
According to the statistics released by ACC, nine charges for five cases filed during the first quarter of 2018 have been sent to the Prosecutor General's office. This is in addition to the cases from 2017.
The statistics show that MVR 108 million, from a total of MVR 130 million, must be returned to the state fund.
For the second quarter of this year, the largest portion of cases, involving undue influence, have been forwarded after investigation.
Whilst only 140 such cases were concluded during the same period in 2017, 332 cases were closed in 2018.
