No interest to become running mate: Fayyaz

Chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and Minister of Economic Development, Fayyaz Ismail has said that he has no interest in becoming President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's running mate for the upcoming election.

In a tweet, Fayyaz expressed his disinterest in contesting as President Solih's running mate in his bid to secure a second term in office. He alleged former MDP Chairperson Moosa Manik of spreading rumors about his desire for the position. The reason for Fayyaz's allegation against Moosa Manik remains unclear.
