Attack on Nasheed: Thahmeen given the opportunity to present evidence

The Criminal Court has ruled to allow Thahmeen Ahmed, who is accused in relation to the assassination attempt made on Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, to submit evidence to the court in his defense.

The Criminal Court has ruled to allow Thahmeen Ahmed, who is accused in relation to the assassination attempt made on Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, to submit evidence to the court in his defense.

The state has filed terrorism charges against Thahmeen Ahmed from Gaafu Alifu Kondey, along with Mujaz Ahmed from Malé, Ali Haisham from Noonu atoll Manadhoo, Fahumee Ali from Gaafu Alifu Vilingili, Ishaag from Malé, and Mohamed Nazim from Alifu Alifu Maalhos, for their alleged involvement in the assassination attempt on Speaker Nasheed in May 2021.
