An MOU has been signed by the National Council of Paramedical in India and the Maldives Paralympic Committee to provide technical assistance, avenues of growth of para-athletes, and enhance technical abilities.

The Paralympic Movement has gradually grown in the Maldives, one of the newest National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) in the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) family, after membership was awarded at the 2019 IPC General Assembly in Bonn, Germany.

The NPC in Maldives has established camps, educational initiatives, and awareness campaigns for its Para athletes even throughout the pandemic. Since the start of its membership, the committee has pushed forward in providing as many opportunities as possible for their athletes to get going.

The National Council of Paramedical, India was established to address the constantly increasing need for paramedical technicians from hospitals, pathological and diagnostic labs and nursing homes to name a few. The council’s objective is to close the gaps by offering high-quality, affordable education.
