Villa College partners with Taylor's University to offer multiple new under-graduate and Masters' Degree courses.
A special signing ceremony was held at Villa College on Wednesday evening, November 30, to sign with the famous Malaysian university. The partnership was officiated by Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam.
Taylor's University Vice Chancellor and President Professor Michael John Driscoll launched the new programs in affiliation with Villa College. The new programs include Bachelor of Culinary Management, Bachelor of International Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Mass Communication, Master's in International Hospitality Management and Master's in Communication.
The new partnership ensures world-class academic courses in hospitality industry, available now in the Maldives, said Dr. Ali Najeeb the Vice Rector of Villa College.
"Villa College is committed to developing educated professionals in the tourism industry. These programs will provide international standard training for students," Dr. Najeeb said.
He further affirmed efforts to improve academic standards of Villa College in light of its newest partnership. Villa College is expected to facilitate additional courses in affiliation with Taylor's University in the prospective future.
Taylor's University programs are ranked 16th in the world offering the best hospitality training in the region. The university is now the top private university in Southeast Asia for three years in a row according to the latest QS World University Rankings.
