Police have said that the autopsy report issued after the post mortem conducted on the body of Adam Athhar has confirmed the cause of death to be hanging.
Athhar died on September 2 while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital after attempting to take his own life while in custody in Dhoonidhoo Prison. He had been arrested for holding a woman hostage at knifepoint.
