The tournament, which had five teams competing, included Nepal, India, Sri Lanaka and Iran in addition to Maldives. Nepal and India have qualified for the finals.
In the first match, Maldives played against India, and lost with 6-25, 11-25, and 10-25. The second match was with Iran, once again losing, this time with 21-15, 20-25 and 16-25. Maldives lost the third match to Sri Lanka with 22-25, 12-25 and 12-25.
The last match was on Monday, against Nepal, losing with a score of 8-25, 19-25, and 18-25.
The team, which played under the guidance of coach Sofwan Ahmed, played their initial matches without key team members Hawwa Rashidha, Aishath Majidha and Aiminath Areesha, who had been participating in the CAVA Beach Volleyball Tournament in Bhutan.
In the second match of the tournament, young Maldivian player Maya Hussain Solah sustained injuries.
