Application deadline for Bank of Maldives (BML) ‘Bank Fund’ initiative intended to empower NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects expires on Monday, June 10.

Bank Fund is open for locally registered NGOs, charity organisations and clubs. Interested parties are encouraged to send their application forms along with a written proposal to [email protected] before 11:00 hrs on June 10, 2024.

BML said that Bank Fund invites proposals for ideas that promote sustainability and provide a social opportunity where five projects in the areas of education, environment, sports and community development will be selected to receive MVR 200,000 each every year.

The Bank Fund, introduced by BML last month, is an upgrade of the previous Community Fund provided by the bank, with the aim of providing more opportunities for NGOs.

BML has previously supported a total of 100 community-led projects under BML's Community Fund since 2019.
