MAHRP signs landmark agreement with CIPM

Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP), signed a professional support pact with Sri Lanka's Chartered Institute of Personel Management (CIPM) on November 26.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed at the Water’s Edge Restaurant in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

This aims to ensure the success of the Maldivian HR network.

As per the agreement, CIPM will share technical expertise and allow MAHRP members to complete HR related programmes at CIPM Business School. Additionally, cross exposure activities for HR professionals from both Maldives and Sri Lanka will be organized.

President of MAHRP Hussain Afeef stated that an agreement with a reputed human capital management organisation like CIPM "would bring a great set of values to MAHRP in its mandate to develop the HR network in the Maldives as well as to MAHRP members."

Afeef stated that this agreement was signed at a 'historic time'.

Furthermore, Afeef congratulated the Sri Lankan company which was formerly known as the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM), in being rebranded as CIPM.

President of CIPM Dhammikka Fernando expressed delight at the agreement and the fact that MAHRP had chosen CIPM as a first international collaborator.

Fernando stated that CIPM, with its 60 years of experience in the field, would "share, collaborate and support MAHRP in various aspects."

CIPM is set to act as an endorsing partner for the National HR Convention and EXPO which is slated for the upcoming year.

The convention, which will be held from February 24 to 25 at Dharubaaruge, Male' is set to be “the HR Event of the Year”.

MAHRP regularly hosts events in Maldives.

One of the biggest events held by them was the exclusive training in Maldives with Ron Kaufman, a globally renowned customer experience consultant, in August.

MAHRP is the first professional association dedicated to the development of human resources to be registered in Maldives.

MAHRP aims to provide current and comprehensive resources, promote HR’s essential values and set professional standards. Notably it is committed to linking and connecting HR professionals and practitioners locally and oversees through signature events and membership activities.
