Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched "MACL Career 2024," a career guidance program aimed at school students.
The initiative seeks to provide students with information and awareness about job opportunities in the aviation sector, including airport operations.
The first fair under MACL's CSR initiative was held yesterday at Ghaazee School.
Speaking at the event, MACL CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed highlighted the importance of preparing technically skilled Maldivians, emphasizing the significance of school leavers learning about the career opportunities offered by a major company like MACL.
Shareef said that Velana International Airport (VIA), operating on a separate island, not only handles airport operations but also offers a wide range of municipal services, providing opportunities in various industries.
He expressed hope to see more Maldivians employed across all roles in the company in the future.
A special lucky draw was also held during the sessions, with 20 students selected to gain a closer insight into MACL's operations. Additionally, 10 students received special gifts as part of the draw.
